Favorite episode: There have been MANY throughout the years, but I am partial to the live episode I recorded at ViVE earlier this year that we released on 4/23. I have been on many stages and behind many microphones over my decade at Advisory Board and I have *never* encountered a crowd as rowdy as this one! It was fun to plan and even more fun to record.

  • Abby Burns

Abby Burns co-hosts and oversees content strategy for Radio Advisory. Abby also serves as a researcher and facilitator at Advisory Board, having previously led research on population health management, primary care strategy, rural health, social determinants of health, and more.

Favorite episode: Hard to say, but I’ll go with the first episode I hosted - Radio Advisory 187: ChristianaCare's comprehensive, CFO-approved approach to behavioral health care. Our guest is such an impressive, passionate, principled, and driven leader and is one of those rare individuals that has truly created positive structural change in an area where a lot of people struggle to make progress.

  • Chris Phelps

Chris Phelps is the managing producer and team lead for Radio Advisory. He oversees the entire production process, from conceptualizing episode ideas to finalizing audio content. He works closely with hosts, researchers, and industry experts to ensure each episode delivers insightful analysis and actionable advice, while also managing the product and channel strategy to maximize listener engagement, awareness, and downloads.

Favorite episode: Ep. 172: Build a value-based enterprise: Live from 2023 Value-Based Care Summit was special. We've been wanting to bring the energy of the podcast to the live, in-person experience, and in this episode we finally delivered. The guests were fantastic, the audience was great, and the whole episode delivered on what it set out to do.

  • Katy Anderson

Katy Anderson edits Radio Advisory and oversees branding and ad strategy. Prior to coming to Advisory Board, she previously worked in public radio, overseeing production and news teams while implementing audience growth strategies on multiple platforms.

Favorite episode: Ep. 216: Why providers and employers need to focus on women’s health “beyond the bikini.” The episode does a really great job of laying out the clinical and financial reasons for why healthcare organizations need to build systems that address post-reproductive women’s health.

  • Atticus Raasch

Atticus Raasch is a production assistant for Radio Advisory and helps with episode and content planning. He is also a senior analyst for Advisory Board’s custom research team, and conducts and delivers research studies for providers, health plans, and other healthcare industry firms.

Favorite episode: My favorite episode is Ep. 188: The business case for investing in women’s health.

  • Chloe Bakst

Chloe Bakst is the content strategy lead for Radio Advisory, crafting detailed outlines for each episode to build a cohesive and engaging narrative.

Favorite episode: Ooh, tough question! I’ll go with Episode 196: The future of surgery (no, it’s not just robots). I learned a lot about a topic I had little to no prior knowledge of and I loved all the real-world examples and case studies the guests called out.

  • Joe Shrum

Joe Shrum serves as creative director for Radio Advisory and helped oversee the creation and style of the podcast, in addition to providing technical support and expertise.

Favorite episode: Episode 19: Why racism is a healthcare issue

  • Daniel Tayag

Favorite episode: I'm going to cheat and give 2 if you'll let me. Episode 206: 24th Secretary of HHS Alex Azar shares his vision on healthcare transformation was a true show of collaboration and expertise among our team and I'm still amazed at how perfectly everything went and how great the episode turned out. Episode 121 Researchers react: Roe is overturned is also a favorite of mine. It was a quick-turn episode that we produced right after the news broke. I'm proud of the episode itself but I'll also always remember how the recording session served as a supportive environment and emotional sounding board for everyone involved.

  • Leanne Elston

Leanne Elston oversees social media strategy for Radio Advisory, and is an associate director of social media for Advisory Board.

Favorite episode: Episode 91: We need to talk about maternal health in America

  • Erin Collins

Erin Collins serves as social media manager for Radio Advisory, connecting the podcast with our brand channels to help grow our audience. She is also a senior social media specialist for Advisory Board.

Favorite episode: It’s so hard to pick! One of the first episodes I listened to when I learned I’d be joining the podcast team was Episode 138: Microsoft’s head of AI on building ethical systems. It was an early intro for me on how the podcast expertly navigates nuanced conversations.
